What are the properties of black cumin oil?

If you are wondering why it is worth drinking black cumin oil or adding it to dishes, the answer is its numerous health benefits. This product has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties and supports the body's immune system, making it an excellent addition to the diet of children and adults in the autumn-winter season. In addition, black cumin oil relieves the symptoms of allergies and asthma, and also lowers blood pressure, reducing the risk of heart disease. It is also used for stomach problems and as an aid in liver regeneration, for example after treatment with strong drugs. It helps maintain the right blood sugar level, accelerates the healing of wounds and improves the condition of the skin, hair and nails. For this reason, it can be both consumed and applied externally as a cosmetic.

The chemical composition of black cumin oil includes health-beneficial phytosterols, numerous vitamins from the B group and vitamin E. In addition, it contains numerous microelements, including selenium, iron and zinc, as well as flavonoids. Of particular note is thymoquinone, responsible for anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects. Black cumin oil contains 84% unsaturated fatty acids, such as oleic acid and essential linoleic acid. Polyunsaturated fatty acids help lower LDL cholesterol levels in the blood. The high concentration of microelements and antioxidants makes black cumin oil a good choice for your daily diet, regardless of age and taste preferences.

Black cumin oil - dosage

How to drink black cumin oil to benefit from all its properties? Only raw - do not use it for frying. It can be drunk on its own or mixed with a cold drink or a little honey.

The additives are designed to reduce the bitter taste of the oil, which may be disliked especially by children. Therefore, it is best to give the youngest unrefined black cumin oil together with yogurt, sweet juice, syrup or honey. The same oil can be used by children and parents, but the recommended doses are different:

for adults the recommended daily dose is - 1 tablespoon of oil
for children from three years of age - a maximum of 1 teaspoon
while for children from 1 to 3 years of age it is recommended - one quarter (1/4) or half (1/2) teaspoon daily.

The dosage of black cumin oil results from dietary recommendations and is not a strict procedure – Black cumin oil is not a dietary supplement. It can also be added to salads and other cold dishes, but remember that its taste is bitter and strongly noticeable.
